
1. the full names, address and telephone number of the tenant and other occupiers of the unit;

2. the duration of the lease;

3. the number of persons who will occupy the unit; and

4. a written undertaking from the prospective tenant to comply fully with the conduct rules for the duration of his or her lease or occupation. Failure to obtain such undertaking does not absolve an owner from ensuring compliance to the conduct rules by his or her tenant or occupier.

Short Term
An owner or occupier who wishes to lease or otherwise give a third party use and enjoyment of his or her unit for a period of less than six (6) consecutive months is required to submit to the trustees at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the commencement date of intended short-term lease, a duly completed and signed Application for Permission for Short-Term Rental Form, in the form as may be prescribed by the trustees from time to time.

CSOS
The CSOS was established in terms of the Community Schemes Ombud Service Act, 2011 (Act No 9 of 2011) to regulate the conduct of parties within community schemes.
The CSOS is an alternative dispute resolution body designed to resolve administrative disputes in all types of community schemes, including sectional title schemes and home owners associations.
